Clint Bear, of Madison Indiana, hand-crafts fine acoustic guitars. He has built the Grand Prize instrument for our competition since the first event in 2012.

 


Established in 1949, the Pine Room Tavern has stood the test of time in the little artist colony of Nashville Indiana.  This Brown County restaurant has delicious food, a comprehensive list of wine and bottled beer, plus nine beers on tap.  With live entertainment  Friday, Saturday, and Sunday that includes everything from  Jazz to Bluegrass-Americana, the Pine Room welcomes local and regional musicians and artists.

The Walnut Valley Association was formed in 1972, with its sole purpose to produce the Walnut Valley National Guitar Flat-Picking Championships Festival, also known as the Flat-Picking Championships, currently known as the “Walnut Valley Festival” or simply “Winfield” to the long time attendees.
